Bait & Tackle Reports

Back up and running!!

Sorry about the lack of updates on the website. We had some technical difficulties.  I was not able to log in to make any changes for over a week but we got it straightened out out now.

Congratulations to the crew on the Carolina Time.  They won the Barta Tournament last weekend.  Pretty work guys!!

Fishing is getting better both inshore and offshore.  Iv been getting good reports of dolphin biting pretty much everywhere.  The billfish bite continues to be excellent.  There has even been a few sailfish caught at the 14 buoy while dolphin fishing.  As most of you know Ballyhoo continues to be tough to come by but we do have some other alternatives in the shop that will work just as well.

Inshore fishing is finally starting to heat up.  Spanish and bluefish are both being caught right along the beach in good numbers.  Their has also been some kings mixed in with the Spanish and bluefish as well.  As always for this time of the year their are plenty of Aj's to be caught at some the wreck 5-10 miles off the beach and their have even been decent catches of flounders and sea bass at the closer near shore wrecks. Dr. Bogus stopped by this morning and informed me that there has been some Tarpon and Kings caught off the Bogue inlet pier as well as a 16.5lb triple tail.
