Fishing Report
Posted On : 2013-03-16

Offshore fishing the last time some guys got out was fair.  The water was nasty green and cool even a way offshore.  Most places had a temperature of around 68-69 degrees but what fish were caught were hooked in a small patch of 71 degree water.  The few boats that got out caught a few wahoo and a few blackfin each.

Inshore fishing is still slow due to this cool weather.  Their have been a few trout, red drum and black drum in the surf and some red drum in the shallow water on the few warm sunny days we have had so far.  As always this time of year you can catch some dog sharks off the surf as well. I did receive a report a few days ago of some sea mullets being caught just outside the inlet around the second set of cans out.

Grand Re-Opening- Will be on Saturday, April 13th.  Their will be many things on sale as well as a raffle for a brand new custom rod that will be built during that day.  We will have free food and drink around 1:00 O'clock for everybody that wants to come and see the new look of the shop and the new products we are carrying.  There will also be some tackle reps here to talk about there products to anybody who has any questions.  Southern Shores Marine Fabrication will be there also with some of his aluminum work. If you need a T-top, leaning post, or cobia tower before the spring/summer fishing season, that would be a good time to come by and talk to him about it.
