Good steady fishing
Posted On : 2016-06-03

Fishing from inshore to offshore has been doing well.  Many reports of some really nice trout being caught in the backwater along with good catches of puppy drum.  I’ve had a couple friends this week who have gone and come back with trout over 3lb.

Off and along the beaches they are still catching Cobia.  Although this season has been slower than some we have had in the past, it has still been a fairly good season for catching some nice fish.  I have been getting more and more reports of folks seeing fish in the sound and getting good hookups while fishing the bottom.  It seems like we are in a transition period where more but smaller fish will start to be caught in the sound vs sight fishing in the ocean.

Offshore fishing for Dolphin still continues to be hott with the bite constantly getting closer.  I got a report yesterday that the good catches of dolphin where just inshore of the 90ft drop.  It won’t be long before we will start to see these fish get around Big 10 little 10 and NW Places.  Most people are having plenty of luck still fishing with Medium ballyhoos on seawitches, ilanders, or soft chugger heads.

The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament is coming up and we are looking forward to another great Tournament.  The Lady’s day starts next Saturday June 11th with the main tournament starting the following Monday on June 13th.
